The Institutes
The Institutes of Irish and Scottish Studies offer unique programs and courses in Ireland and Scotland. Each Institute oversees programs, courses, and internships in collaboration with approved organizations, institutes, and universities in Ireland and Scotland.
Consortium courses will be accredited by the Columba Centre of the University of the Highlands and Islands.
Summer Sessions:
Scotland
Introduction to Scottish Folklore: an on-site course offered in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Scottish Highlands and Islands on Scottish folk life and folklore.
This course, which studies traditional culture, is jointly sponsored by the Collumcille Center on Islay (University of the Highlands and Islands) and the John Campbell Folk Life Institute.

Ireland Trip May 2010
Major Irish Writers
Irish History and Politics: Based on location in Belfast, this course will exam the modern history of Ireland while focusing on "The Northern Conflict". Visiting lecturers will represent all factions of the political spectrum and examine prospects for peace and reconciliation.
